Belfast Diwali 2025
 – A Night That Made History

On Saturday, 25th October 2025, Belfast City Hall was once again transformed into a spectacular celebration of light, colour, and community. Belfast Diwali 2025 — now in its third consecutive year at this iconic venue — drew thousands of guests from across Northern Ireland and beyond, cementing its reputation as the finest Diwali celebration in the country.

This year's theme, "Lighting Lives, Beyond Lamps", carried the festival's spirit far beyond the stage. For the first time, ImageNation NI extended the message of Diwali into real acts of compassion and community service in the days surrounding the event.

The Theme: Lighting Lives, Beyond Lamps

Diwali is the Festival of Lights — but in 2025, we asked ourselves: whose lives can we illuminate beyond the lamps we light on stage? The answer shaped everything about the event.

In the spirit of giving, ImageNation NI partnered with People's Kitchen Belfast to distribute hot meals to homeless and vulnerable individuals across the city. Volunteers also joined the Cave Hill Conservation Campaign for a community litter pick, underscoring the belief that caring for our environment is as important as celebrating our culture.

What Made the Evening Unforgettable

  • Spectacular Indian Classical Dance performances showcasing Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Folk dance traditions
  • Live music filling the grand halls of Belfast City Hall with the sounds of India
  • An educational Skid on the story and significance of Diwali — welcoming newcomers to our culture
  • A vibrant Indian food experience featuring Belfast's finest Indian restaurants and caterers
  • A Diya lamp-lighting ceremony bringing the entire room together in a moment of unity
  • Media coverage on UTV News and BBC Radio Ulster, cementing our place in Northern Ireland's cultural calendar

A Word from Our Founder

"We believe in leading with soul, not just size. Belfast Diwali is about bringing people together, celebrating our shared purpose, and fostering a collective pride. That is what truly makes it one of the most meaningful Diwali events in Northern Ireland."
